Overview
Carlton Woods is The Woodlands' ultra-luxury enclave, protected by 24-hour manned gates. Homes are almost entirely custom estates on large lots, and the median sale price is about $2.07 million.
Golf
The Club at Carlton Woods has two private championship courses: a Jack Nicklaus Signature course that opened in 2001 and a Tom Fazio course that opened in 2005 about four miles south in Carlton Woods Creekside. It is one of only two private clubs in the country with both a Nicklaus and a Fazio design. Golf Digest ranks the courses 13th and 20th in Texas, and the Nicklaus course has hosted the LPGA's Chevron Championship, a major, since 2023.
