Community Helpers Day at the Mitchell Library, Friday October 9

   Sorry if this is already posted somewhere, but I found something for anyone with little kids. Community Helpers Day is Friday October 9 at 10:00 AM at the George and Cynthia Woods Mitchell Library, 8125 Ashlane Way. Listing: https://www.facebook.com/events/8125-ashlane-way-the-woodlands-tx-united-states-texas-77382/community-helpers-day/1773998406944068/ It says you meet local community helpers, see emergency vehicles up close and there is a community information fair. My youngest would lose her mind over the fire truck part. Is Ashlane Way the library in Alden Bridge or am I mixing up villages again?

   You are asking the right question rather than guessing, which I appreciate. The listing gives the address as 8125 Ashlane Way and the name of the branch, and that is what I would go by. I would not take a village name from me or anyone else here over the address on the event itself, because people mix those up constantly in this forum.

   2004 transplant. Still call it Randalls.

   A 10 AM Friday event is aimed squarely at the preschool and homeschool crowd, so expect strollers everywhere. Take it from someone who has done a lot of these, get there right at 10 so the vehicles are still parked and staffed!

   Search would have turned up three older threads about library programs, but since you actually read your own link before posting it, I will allow it. Emergency vehicle days are usually worth the trip for kids under six. Above that they get bored in twenty minutes.

   One small thing, a 10 AM October morning outside can already be warm here, so water for the kids. Nothing in the listing says whether the information fair is indoors or out.

   Do not feed the deer. Please.
