  Sixty Vines at Market Street is always our go-to when my in-laws are visiting! It is so roomy, and the adults love the wine tap selection while everyone relaxes. Hope you guys have a wonderful visit with your family, Harold!

  Palette Indian Kitchen is very welcoming if you end up taking a group. It is a family-run favorite and they are very good with vegetarian options too. My husband loves the lamb seekh kabob there.

  Thank y'all so much! Steph and DogDad, that makes me feel way better about giving 1st Choice Roofing a call. I was so worried I would get stuck sitting through another two-hour sales pitch just to get a leak patched! Karen, good to know on the shingle matching rules. Denise, you are so right, we have a massive pine hanging near that side of the house so I will definitely have them look for squirrel damage while they are up there!

  Hey y'all! I noticed a small water stain spreading on my ceiling in our spare bedroom after the recent rain. It is not huge yet, but I know how this goes and it is definitely going to get worse if I ignore it! Honestly, I have been dreading calling anyone out because the last contractor we had tried to convince me that I needed an entire roof replacement when it was literally just a stupid pipe boot that needed replacing. Total waste of time and money! I have been seeing yard signs around the neighborhood for 1st Choice Roofing lately. Has anyone here actually used them? Are they pretty chill, or are they going to try to push a whole new roof on me too? I just want someone honest to fix the leak without the big sales presentation. Open to recs if y'all know someone good!

  With tired kids after Friday games, grabbing pad thai from Charm Kitchen on Research Forest on the way back to Creekside is a lifesaver. Perfect treat to wrap up the week!

  For family night, Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is always a huge hit with our kids. They love watching the conveyor belt, and the salmon sushi and wagyu sushi options are really good too.

• Cooking oil spill truck fire on I-45 earlier today

  Y'all, a cooking oil slick on the freeway sounds like an absolute nightmare! So glad emergency crews got the spill scrubbed down and all lanes reopened quickly! Welcome to Texas by the way! Yes, Kuykendahl or Gosling are great alternatives depending on where you are heading. Just remember once you cross south into Creekside Park you are down in Harris County and Tomball ISD territory, so watch those school zone speed limits during drop-off and pick-up hours! Did you end up making it out for your groceries okay?
