Looking to take the family out for Thai this weekend after Friday youth sports wrap up. We usually end up getting basic takeout, but I would love to sit down somewhere that really delivers on flavor. What is everybody's go-to spot right now?

Charm Kitchen & Bar over at 4223 Research Forest Dr is hands down the best option in town. Order the khao soi or the pad thai. The flavor profiles are on another level compared to standard suburban Thai spots.

If it opened on Market Street, I've been.

Research Forest gets too packed on Friday evening and you pay Woodlands markup. If you do not mind driving ten minutes north, Thai Cottage in Conroe is great for authentic Thai and makes fantastic takeout without the sit-down fuss.

    Cheaper taxes, longer drive.

We just moved here recently and have been ordering delivery from Aloy Aloy Thai Cafe over in Tomball. My husband gets their spicy pork belly every single time and swears it is the best Thai dish he has ever had.

Appreciate all the quick responses! Is the Charm Kitchen location on Research Forest related to the Charm Thai Bistro down on Spring Stuebner in Spring, or are those totally separate places?

They are related! Charm Thai Bistro at 2203 Spring Stuebner Rd was the original location before they opened Charm Kitchen & Bar on Research Forest. If you ever swing by the Spring Stuebner location, stick with the classic bistro items like their som tum papaya salad, tom kha soup, or panang curry. That said, for sitting down closer to home with the family after games, Research Forest has the nicer ambiance and that excellent khao soi.

Zapvor in Spring is solid if you want authentic.

Zapvor over in Spring ranks right at the top of local searches for a reason, especially if you want real deal authentic dishes. But if you are stuck in Tomball delivery range, Aloy Aloy's pork belly is worth every bite. Use the search bar next time, this topic comes up every six months.

    This has been covered. Twice.

We tried Charm Kitchen on Research Forest last month after soccer and it worked out great. The pad kee mao was excellent and they got us in and out before my six year old hit full meltdown mode.

We do the same thing! My kids are wiped after Friday activities and Charm Kitchen is right on the way home to Creekside Park. Their spring rolls and pad see ew are our usual order, and the staff is always super nice even when we roll in looking like a hot mess lol.
