We have a 2 year old and a 4 year old and I want to do a few fall things this month that won't end in a meltdown. Looking for toddler friendly fall activities around The Woodlands, ideally not a total zoo crowd wise. Stroller friendly is a plus. What have y'all actually liked?

P-6 Farms in Montgomery if you want the full festival. My son lost his mind over the cow train and the mini Ferris wheel, and the pig races are hilarious. Weekends only through Nov 8. General admission is $25.95 but kids 35 months and under are free, so your 2 year old gets in free. Go right at 10, it gets packed by lunch.

Ex-Chicagoan. Yes, I know about the humidity.

Oh nice, free under 35 months helps a lot. How long did you stay with yours?

About three hours and that was the limit. There's honestly more than a toddler can do in one day so don't try to hit everything.

For something calmer, Old Time Christmas Tree Farm in Spring. Hayride, little train, petting zoo, and the trees make really pretty photos. $10 a person for ages 2 and up, attractions are extra. They do Thursday and Friday evenings 4 to 7 which was way less busy for us than Saturday.

    Hydrate. Then hydrate again.

Put the Children's Museum SpookTacular on your calendar, Oct 30 and 31. It's made for under 7 and nothing is scary at all. Little carnival games and crafts sized for tiny hands. My daughter wore her costume the whole time and was so proud. Kids are $12, adults $10, under one is $6.

My 4 year old is scared of every inflatable skeleton in the neighborhood right now so non scary is exactly what I need lol.

If you just want to pick a pumpkin and let them run, Faith United Methodist in Spring. Free to get in, you only pay for the pumpkin. Big lawn, nobody stressing. We were in and out in 45 minutes and it supports the church.

Retired. My only deadline is tee time.

7 Acre Wood in Conroe is my favorite for this age. Way less crowded than the big farms. Petting zoo, mini golf, and a giant sandbox that kept mine busy forever. $10 general admission and babies 17 months and under are free.

Second 7 Acre Wood. Laid back is the right word. Bring a change of clothes for the sandbox though, my kid was full of sand down to the socks.

Old MacDonald's Farm in Humble is a drive but the ticket covers unlimited train rides, pony rides, and the petting zoo, and the kids get a free pumpkin. $21 plus tax, under 18 months free. Old school farm feel, my toddler rode the train like six times.

Unlimited train rides might be worth the drive by itself for my two. Is it shaded at all?

Some shade near the animal areas, but bring hats. It was still warm when we went.

Harvest Season Farm in Tomball for a quick cheap one. $5 a person, kids 10 and under free, weekends 12 to 5. Bounce house and face painting cost a little extra. Small and easy, perfect for cute photos and done.

Don't skip the Township Trick or Treat Trail in late October. It's free, daytime, and the path is paved so the stroller is easy. Businesses set up tents and the little ones walk booth to booth. Felt very safe and very toddler paced.

Fountain show at 7, meltdown at 7:15.

Agree on the trail. Daytime trick or treating is so much better with a 2 year old than doing the neighborhood at night.

Update for anyone finding this later: we did 7 Acre Wood last weekend and P-6 yesterday at opening. 7 Acre Wood was the winner for the 2 year old, P-6 for the 4 year old. Planning the SpookTacular and the Trick or Treat Trail next. Thank you all, this was so helpful.

Saving this whole thread for next year. One tip for P-6: we parked, did the cow train first, then the pig races, and left before the noon rush. Worked perfectly with a nap at 1.
