I saw an announcement that actor Will Forte is coming out for a local fall fundraiser on November 1st. It sounds like it raises money for local charitable efforts and community outreach across our area. Between grading and car line chaos, I rarely get out for big evening events, so I was curious if anyone here has gone in past years? Do you know what the setup is usually like, and are individual ticketing options still open to the public or is it mostly table sponsorships?

I have sponsored tables for local non-profit events like this in the past for my business. Usually they open up sponsorship opportunities first to local companies, and then release general ticketing options for individual seats closer to the date. If you want to go without buying a whole table, check their main landing page soon because individual tickets for a known comedian usually move fast once word gets around.

    Shop local, file on time.

Wait, MacGruber himself is coming here? Honestly, I would love a night out that does not involve driving kids to soccer practice! My husband is usually traveling for work, but I might try to grab a babysitter for November 1st if there are still single tickets left. I was wondering the same thing about whether it was private or open to anyone.

These annual fall fundraisers for our area non-profits are always well run. They rely on the funds for their ongoing community outreach programs throughout the year. Typically, they have different ticketing options ranging from corporate sponsorship packages down to single attendee passes. I would recommend securing tickets early if you plan on going, as having a big name actor like Will Forte tends to sell out the venue quickly.

Ask me anything about villages. Seriously.

Thank you Twiggy, point made on buying early! Twiggy, do you recall if these evening fundraisers tend to be full cocktail attire, or is business casual fine? After standing in the Friday afternoon car line, the less fuss the better.

My wife and I went to a non-profit charity dinner around here last fall. It was pretty relaxed, people were in nice business casual or dressy attire, nothing too over the top. I walked the labs past Town Center earlier and saw flyers going up. It sounds like a great event for local charitable efforts. Buster and Barnaby were more interested in a squirrel, but I made a mental note about November 1st.

It is always nice seeing prominent figures support our local non-profit programs. Their community outreach does a lot of solid work in the area year after year. I tend to stay home in the evenings, but it is worth supporting if you have the chance.

If my night shift schedule at Memorial Hermann allows it, I might try to grab a ticket too. It is rare to get a good comedy night in town that also benefits local charitable efforts. Most people dress nice but comfortable, so do not stress about wearing anything super formal after a long workday.
