- Looking for modest pool builder recommendations and cost advice
If you have young kids or family visiting, definitely think about adding a shallow tanning ledge or entry steps! It makes such a huge difference for little ones playing safely without deep water right away. Also make sure to budget for a high quality perimeter safety fence or pool alarms right away.

- Where are you taking people for brunch lately?
We've always just walked in. Wait was never long for us, maybe 15 minutes on a Sunday.

For a family crowd, The Toasted Yolk Cafe. Portions are huge and the food comes out fast even when it's packed. Get the Churro Donuts for the table. They have mimosas and bloody marys too if the adults want one.

- Toddler Friendly Fall Activities in The Woodlands
Don't skip the Township Trick or Treat Trail in late October. It's free, daytime, and the path is paved so the stroller is easy. Businesses set up tents and the little ones walk booth to booth. Felt very safe and very toddler paced.

- Lighting of the Doves Nov 21, parking strategy?
We go at 3 for the snow slides when the lines are short and just stay. By 6 it's packed.

- Has anyone gone to the Montgomery County Mistletoe Market?
Thank you all, that is super helpful! Hank, did your wife feel like there was enough variety among the boutique goods and crafts to get gifts for different age groups, or is it mostly geared toward home decor?

- Has anyone gone to the Montgomery County Mistletoe Market?
Thinking about starting my holiday shopping early this year before things get completely chaotic. Has anyone gone to the Montgomery County Mistletoe Market in past years? I saw it popping up on local event lists for seasonal shopping. Wondering if it is worth checking out for gifts, crafts, and boutique items!

- Parking and arrival time for TWHS vs Willis football game
Honestly, if you park near the main entrances, expect to sit in your car for at least twenty minutes after the game ends. We usually take our younger ones and park further back near the outer perimeter. It makes for a slightly longer walk to the gates, but escaping after the final play is so much smoother, especially when the kids are tired and ready for bed!

- Bulk landscape supply yard recs around Spring or The Woodlands
Definitely put down a tarp! We did a play area in our backyard last spring and completely forgot. My husband spent three evenings trying to power wash topsoil out of the concrete joints. Another quick tip is to check your village standards on how long material can sit out front. Our committee gets touchy if a giant mound of gravel stays parked on the driveway past the weekend.

- Happy hour with food that is actually worth eating?
Truluck's is a solid choice. You feel a little fancy but the bar is pretty relaxed. It does get busy but that is because it is good.

- Coco Classic tennis tournament questions
We strolled past one of the court areas last year with the kids in the double stroller and stopped to watch a few points! The atmosphere was super fun and relaxed, lots of families hanging out on lawn chairs cheering people on. Hope you sign up and have a blast!

- Anyone thinking about signing up for The Woodlands U?
KatyCastaway, that is exactly why I asked. When we first moved near Market Street, I assumed it worked just like a standard city hall setup in other places. Do you think the classes will cover how the village system interacts with the board of directors, or is it more of a broad history overview?

- Anyone thinking about signing up for The Woodlands U?
I saw an article in PaperCity about the Township launching a new resident education series called The Woodlands U. It sounds like they are doing classes covering our community history, how the master planned design came together, the village system, and how municipal services and township finances are handled. With two little ones running around, my schedule is already pretty packed, but I have always been curious how the administrative side of everything actually works here. Is anyone planning to take these?

- Sushi options for family night vs date night?
Another vote for Fukuda. We went last Friday and even though they were busy we got a table pretty quickly. It's great for a last minute family dinner.
