Did anyone catch the game against Conroe High? I took my 12-year-old over to watch last Friday (we try to get to a few home games every fall when my work drive back from Houston doesn't totally destroy my evening). Julian Cromartie was completely unstoppable on the field. He ended up with four touchdowns against the Conroe Tigers and rightfully earned the Woodlands Church Athlete of the Week title for it. Who else has been standing out to y'all on the field this high school football season?

Cromartie was unbelievable against the Conroe Tigers. Four touchdowns in a single game is impressive work. My oldest is in the band so I was in the stands for all four quarters. The offensive line opened massive holes all night. Special teams played clean too.

I actually went with a couple of nurse friends after my shift ended lol. Cromartie was everywhere against Conroe. Putting up four touchdowns was incredible to watch in person and he totally deserved that Woodlands Church Athlete of the Week recognition. Our secondary was playing really tight coverage the whole second half too.

The game was great but trying to leave the parking lot afterward was a complete nightmare as usual. It took almost forty minutes just to get out onto the road. Cromartie putting four touchdowns on Conroe made staying until the fourth quarter worth the traffic headache though. That award from Woodlands Church was well earned.

I didn't make it in person with the toddler, but my husband followed the updates while we were out on the patio. Four touchdowns against the Tigers is a massive stat line. If I were evaluating how sustainable this momentum is for the rest of the season, I would look at three key factors: depth on the bench for injury rotation, penalty yards per game, and how well the defense holds against heavy passing teams.

I went with some friends from Lone Star College to watch the game. It was a really fun environment in the stands. Julian Cromartie definitely stood out with those four touchdowns against Conroe High, and seeing him take home the Woodlands Church Athlete of the Week award was great. Since someone mentioned the parking timing earlier, it took us about thirty-five minutes to clear the lot after the game ended.

Cromartie definitely had an outstanding night. Scoring four touchdowns against a district opponent like Conroe is no small task. From a practical standpoint heading into the tougher stretch of the schedule, I always look at three things: red zone efficiency, turnover differential, and staying healthy through late October. If those hold up, this team will be in solid shape.
