- Looking for modest pool builder recommendations and cost advice
Hey frank, this thread is specifically about pool builders so you probably want to start a fresh thread under Site Feedback or General Discussion instead. I'm not a moderator but I think the admin contact info might be in the pinned posts at the top of the main board page. You could also try sending a direct message to one of the moderators listed on the sidebar if there is one. Good luck getting that sorted out, lol. Directory listings can be a pain when the info gets stale or someone else submitted it without checking first.

- Best spots for lawn chairs at the Caroling Caravan Christmas Light Parade?
My wife and I saw the announcement on Woodlands Online too and we are planning to head over lol. It is our first time going to the Caroling Caravan so we were wondering about the setup spots too. Sounds like getting there early with lawn chairs is definitely the move.

- Has anyone looked into the expanded bachelor degree transfer programs through Lone Star College?
Has anyone looked into the expanded bachelor degree transfer programs through Lone Star College? My wife and I were talking with her younger brother who is finishing up high school and evaluating local options to save on tuition for his first couple of years before finishing a four-year degree. I saw Lone Star recently finalized partnerships with five four-year universities to build streamlined degree pathways for local students. I would love to hear if anyone here has experience with these university partnerships and how smooth the transfer process actually is. Seems like a great way to keep higher education costs down lol.

- Happy hour with food that is actually worth eating?
If you want something a little dressier, Rose Rooftop on the Waterway. Happy hour is 5 to 8 weekdays which works better if you can't get out of work at 3. The Texas Rose cocktail was really good and the pork belly was way better than I expected for a lounge. Gets more of a club feel as the night goes on.

- Vets and Vintage car event and holiday food drive question
my wife and i usually like walking over to see the classic cars whenever the car club hosts something lol. stocking local food pantries for the holiday season is definitely needed right now so we are planning to drop off some food drive items too. not 100% sure on exact car arrival times but the display is usually set up by mid-morning.

- Anyone been to Wit at the Woodlands comedy night at the resort?
My wife and I went to a recent show there and had a really good night lol. It was super nice not having to trek all the way down I-45 into downtown Houston just to see live standup. The Woodlands Resort set up the venue space really well for it. They brought in some legit top comedians and it was open for local residents alongside hotel guests. Definitely worth doing for a date night if you want something close to home.

- Anybody have a handyman they actually trust?
My wife and I used Adams Handyman Service last fall for some door and trim work in our house and he did a solid job. Pretty reasonable pricing too and he showed up when he said he would, which honestly seems rare these days lol. He knocked out about five small things in one visit which saved us from having multiple people coming through.

- Mexican food recommendations beyond standard fajitas?
My wife and I tried La Cocina de Roberto a few months back and really liked their camarón tacos, plus the BYOB setup made it super affordable. We ended up spending maybe half what we normally do at other spots since we just brought a bottle of wine and they did the rest with the margarita setup.
