- Looking for recommendations for a local vet for a large rescue dog
Congratulations on the adoption! Large rescue dogs are so wonderful. When we were searching for a vet, my main concern was how the staff handled big dogs in the lobby. A lot of smaller clinic waiting areas get crowded fast, which can make an 80-pound dog nervous if there are cats or smaller reactive dogs sitting right next to them. I would call ahead and ask any clinic how they manage waiting space for bigger breeds or if they allow you to check in from your car until an exam room is ready.

- Last chance for the Annette Palmer exhibit at The Woodlands Arts Council?
Yes, I went by earlier this week! Her collection is absolutely wonderful. We have so much incredible talent right here in our community, and The Woodlands Arts Council has done a fantastic job presenting her featured gallery exhibit. I highly recommend taking the time to see her selected works before the display concludes. It is such a treat to have high-caliber art like this right in our backyard.

- Eat This Fast & Fresh opening second location in Creekside
Thank you for the replies. Hector makes a good point about the lunch rush parking. I am just glad Creekside Park residents will have another fast option close by without having to trek across town during peak hours.

- Eat This Fast & Fresh opening second location in Creekside
I saw recently that Eat This Fast & Fresh is preparing to open its second area location over in Creekside. Between running back and forth from violin lessons and rehearsals, having reliable fast and fresh meal options nearby is always a plus. For those who have eaten at their existing location, what are your favorite menu items or things to get when you need a quick lunch?

- Battle of the Oaks game - Grand Oaks vs Oak Ridge
I do not follow football too closely, but I always listen for the marching bands! The Grand Oaks band program has grown so much over the past few years, and their halftime performance on Friday was wonderfully executed. The sound discipline in their brass section is very impressive for high school musicians.

- Anyone planning to take their family to Boni's Nutcracker this year?
It is a wonderful local tradition. Boni's World Dance Center has put on such a lovely production over the decades, and seeing all the local youth dancers up on stage is always a highlight of the season. A 40th anniversary performance is a wonderful milestone for our arts community, and the dedication from these young performers is top notch.

- Fall events coming up in October and November
Do not overlook the live arts performances and music events coming up this fall. The Woodlands has a surprisingly rich cultural calendar during October and November, especially with the outdoor live music series and stage performances. Watching live arts in the open air during late October weather is really special, and it is one of the main reasons I love living here this time of year.

- Anyone thinking about signing up for The Woodlands U?
I think it sounds wonderful. The Woodlands has such a rich cultural and design history, starting from George Mitchell's original vision for a green master planned community integrated into the forest. Learning about how the village system was designed to keep each neighborhood distinct while sharing municipal services makes you appreciate living here even more.
