- Oct 12, 2026, 6:55 PM#1My wife mentioned that Annette Palmer's art collection is wrapping up its run at The Woodlands Arts Council gallery space. I usually spend my Saturday mornings out on the water at Northshore Park, but she wants to head over and see it before this final showcase closes out. Has anyone in here stopped by to check it out yet?

We have so much incredible talent right here in our community, and The Woodlands Arts Council has done a fantastic job presenting her featured gallery exhibit. I highly recommend taking the time to see her selected works before the display concludes. It is such a treat to have high-caliber art like this right in our backyard.
Yes, your kid can start at five.
- Oct 12, 2026, 8:01 PM#3I went last Friday during my lunch break. Before we moved here from Houston, I used to think you had to deal with Montrose traffic or fight for parking in the Museum District just to spend thirty minutes looking at a proper gallery show. Being able to hop over during the workday and see a curated local collection like Annette Palmer's without sitting on I-10 for an hour is a massive upgrade.
Former Katy commuter. Recovered.
- Oct 12, 2026, 8:36 PM#4Thank you for posting this thread! I am still learning my way around since moving down from Chicago this past summer. ViolinVera, is the Arts Council gallery space fairly easy to access, or should I be planning on parking in one of the garages nearby? I would love to walk over from East Shore if it is close enough, but I am not sure where the entry is.
Ex-Chicagoan. Yes, I know about the humidity.
- Oct 12, 2026, 8:54 PM#5Thanks Vera and Katy. Emily, I was wondering the same thing about parking. If I am swinging by after fishing, I will have my truck and kayak trailer, so I usually try to avoid tight parking spots. Did either of you have any trouble getting in?

- Oct 12, 2026, 9:59 PM#6On October 4th, my wife and I drove over to view the exhibit. Larry, do not try to take a truck with a kayak rig into that immediate area. You will be far better off parking near the Town Center garage or using one of the open surface spaces a block away and walking over. As for the showcase itself, Ms. Palmer's pieces are well arranged. It took us approximately forty-five minutes to view the full collection on display.
Measure twice, call once.

It is awesome seeing local artists get featured like this. Definitely worth a quick walkthrough before they wrap up the show.

Beyond the artistic merit of her work, supporting these community showcases is one of the best things about having a dedicated arts council in town. They put a lot of effort into organizing these featured gallery viewings, and it is great to see local resident attendance stay strong right up to the final days of an exhibit.
Numbers don't lie, people round.
- Oct 13, 2026, 2:39 AM#9Thanks for the heads up on the closing date! My wife has been wanting to see this showcase, so I think I will take the kids for a walk around the area this Saturday morning between soccer games while she takes her time going through the gallery. Sounds like a solid weekend plan for everyone.
It's always baseball season.
