We finally stopped by The Dumpling Zone at 8850 Metropark Drive after a brutal Friday car line. The food was spectacular. We got the pork soup dumplings and the shrimp fried rice, and everything coming out of the kitchen for the tables around us looked great too. Just a quick heads up for anyone taking their family: they do not have a fountain machine, so soft drinks and lemonade come in cans for three dollars each with no free refills. What is everyone else ordering when you go?

I grabbed lunch there after wrapping up a repair job nearby. You are dead on about those pork soup dumplings, they are the real deal. Three dollars for a can of lemonade or soda with zero refills definitely caught my attention when the bill came, but the food quality makes up for it. I will just stick to water next time.

    Measure twice, call Hector once.

Night shift morning routine for me last week included stopping in after work. Those pork soup dumplings were pure comfort food after twelve hours on my feet. I saw the three dollar canned drink charge for my lemonade and made a mental note right then. Has anyone tried their fried rice variations besides the shrimp one?

    Night shift crew.

NurseAtMemorial thanks for the reply! Did you get the soup dumplings to go, and did they hold up okay on the drive home?

I took some out of town clients there for lunch last week after showing houses up near Metropark Drive. We got the pork soup dumplings and the shrimp fried rice to share. Everything was fantastic. Good to keep in mind about the canned drinks though, three dollars per can adds up quickly when you are buying for a group.

Ask me anything about villages. Seriously.

I usually get the veggie dumplings and the beef fried rice when I pick up takeout on my way back from Market Street. The soup dumplings travel fine if you eat them within fifteen minutes, but the wrappers get soggy if they sit too long in the container.

I live right around the corner in East Shore (so I walk past there on my way to the grocery store) and grabbed lunch there solo about a week ago. The beef and chive dumplings were insanely good and I also tried their chicken fried rice which had big chunks of actual chicken breast instead of mystery bits. The three dollar canned drinks surprised me too but honestly I just ask for tap water now since the food is worth coming back for.
