   The 38th annual Wildflower Festival is Saturday October 17 at 10:00 AM at Rob Fleming Park, 6055 Creekside Forest Drive. Free. The listing mentions wildflower seeds, tote bags, art contest displays, bounce houses and food trucks. https://www.facebook.com/events/rob-fleming-park/the-woodlands-38th-annual-wildflower-festival/1245409588655743/ The seed giveaway is the part I care about. Please do not treat free seeds as a licence to scatter them anywhere you feel like, and please keep dogs leashed at a park event with that many kids running around.

   This is our park! 38 years is wild to think about. Bounce houses plus food trucks plus free seeds is a full morning for us, we will be there right at 10. And yes on the leashes, every single year.

   A 38th annual anything in this town is worth pausing on. That puts the first one well before Creekside Park existed as a village, which tells you the festival moved at some point rather than starting where it is now. I am not going to claim I know the earlier locations without something to back it up.

   2004 transplant. Still call it Randalls.

   Parking at Rob Fleming for a free festival with bounce houses is the actual story here and nobody has said it yet. Plan to walk in from further out than you would like.

   On the seeds, kindly note that what you may plant in your own beds is governed by your villages residential development standards, so free seeds at a festival are not blanket permission for anything. Denise is right about the intent. I would simply add that people should check their own standards before they redo a front bed with whatever is in the packet.
