As for the drive-thru collection itself, the procedure is very orderly. Participants remain in their vehicles while staff collect hazardous items directly from the vehicle. They accept old paint, lawn chemicals, batteries, and automotive fluids.

You cannot choose an alternate retail electric provider because we are outside the ERCOT deregulated market grid. CenterPoint handles natural gas distribution for our area in the exact same regulated manner. Regarding your question about level billing, it is certainly not a scam. The program calculates a rolling twelve-month average of your electrical usage so your monthly statement remains uniform rather than spiking drastically during July and August. If you choose not to enroll in level billing for a 3,100-square-foot home keeping the temperature at 75 degrees, a monthly bill approaching $600 to $700 during peak heat is entirely realistic. Kindly note that level billing adjusts periodically based on actual usage, so you still pay for every kilowatt-hour consumed over the course of the year.
