   $20 an hour is about the going rate for a solo housekeeper here, maybe a touch low if they want laundry too. Still, once or twice a week is an easy add to an existing route.

   Ex-Chicagoan. Yes, I know about the humidity.

   Is this through a service or directly with the family? Makes a difference for taxes and who covers supplies.
