- Sep 29, 2026, 11:18 AM#1Sorry if this has been asked before, we just moved here from Ohio last month and are still figuring out the area. I took my teenage son out to play pool at Barney's on Sawdust Road recently, but honestly the smoke inside was just way too heavy for us to stay very long. Does anyone know of any non-smoking spots or clean places with pool tables around here or nearby?

They keep it clean and non-smoking inside, and it is a much better atmosphere if you are bringing your kid along during the day or early evening.
This has been covered. Twice.

We ended up heading over to Woody's Hideaway instead and had such a fun time! Honestly it was so much cleaner and the smoke was not an issue at all inside.

Hourly table rate versus pay-per-game coin tables. 2. Kitchen hours if you plan on eating dinner while playing. 3. Weekend evening entry policies for minors. Give them a quick call first so you do not drive down there for nothing.
Shop local, file on time.

Quiet crowd and no smoke in the air at all. We stick to walking the greenbelt pathways around here with Buster and Barnaby, but if I ever pick up a cue stick again that is where I would go. If you are paying hourly rates for pool tables, factor that into your recreational entertainment budget versus coin-op spots. Run your own numbers.

If you ever consider installing a commercial-size table in a garage or exterior enclosure, please ensure you submit an application to the Development Review Committee first. The WCA standards are very clear on exterior alterations.
"Section 4.2 is pretty clear on this."
