We are clearing out our garage in Indian Springs. I have a pile of old paint cans and lawn chemicals taking up space. Has anyone taken stuff to the county household hazardous waste drive-thru before? I want to make sure I drop these off safely without any hassle.

We went through one of those household hazardous waste drive-thru events not too long ago lol. It was super easy because you do not even have to get out of your vehicle. You just pull up and the staff collect the residential waste right out of your trunk.

I took a load of leftover garage items over to the household hazardous waste drive-thru recently. The process is very well organized. As mentioned, you remain in your vehicle while the staff collect the hazardous items. They take old paint and lawn chemicals as well as household batteries and automotive fluids.

Kindly note that residential waste should never be left visible from the street prior to disposal, per Residential Standard 3.2. As for the drive-thru collection itself, the procedure is very orderly. Participants remain in their vehicles while staff collect hazardous items directly from the vehicle. They accept old paint, lawn chemicals, batteries, and automotive fluids.

"Section 4.2 is pretty clear on this."

I loaded up our vehicle with old paint cans and lawn chemicals after cleaning out our garage last time. It goes so fast! You just drive up and stay in your car while staff unload everything. Super handy when you have a trunk full of old residential waste to get rid of.

Three kids, one minivan, zero silence.
