My wife wants to go to the H-E-B Wine Walk at The Woodlands Resort this Thursday, October 24. It is an evening event featuring wine tastings, craft beer selections, food pairings from local chefs and restaurants, and live music on the resort grounds. For those who have attended past years, how packed does it get around the pathways? Also what is the parking situation like at the resort, or is taking a rideshare a better plan?

Parking gets tight quickly at the resort lot. Rideshare is easier. We went previously and lines move pretty well at the wine stations. Food pairings from local chefs are good. Walking around the grounds is nice.

If you try to park at the resort after 6 p.m. good luck. The main lot fills up fast and people end up parking down the drive or waiting forever for valet. Rideshare is definitely the way to go if you plan on actually enjoying the wine tastings and craft beer without circling for twenty minutes.

Ok_Veterinarian3409, does rideshare have a clear drop-off spot near the front lobby, or do they dump you out by the entrance gates when traffic backs up?

Rideshare usually drops off right at the main lobby circle entrance lol. It flows pretty smooth if you get there a bit early. We love walking around the resort grounds for this event. The live music set up near the lawn is great and the local chef food pairings are awesome!

The layout across the resort grounds spreads everyone out fairly well once you get past the main entrance area. They have wine tasting tables and craft beer selections set up along the outdoor paths so you are never stuck in one dense crowd for long. Arriving right when the evening event begins makes a big difference for line lengths.

I am actually taking my wife this Thursday (trying to fit in a few fun date nights before the baby arrives!). We went a couple years back and the food pairings from the local restaurants were fantastic. The resort grounds make for a great evening walk with the live music playing in the background. (Just make sure you wear comfortable shoes because you will be walking outdoor pathways between stations all night.)

Rideshare is best. Grounds get busy fast. Wine stations spread out nicely. Food options are solid. Wear comfortable shoes.

Thanks everyone, that helps a lot. We will plan to use Uber from our home so we do not have to fight for resort parking.

Smart move on the Uber! (My buddy tried parking on site last time and spent half his evening hunting for a spot.) I am dropping my son off with his grandparents Thursday evening so I can check out the craft beer selections and live music for a couple hours. Hope yall have a great night out!
