   Saw that Grace Woodlands is hosting a family car show this November. Looks like they will have classic vintage and custom vehicles out on the church grounds along with some outdoor activities for families. Kids were asking about it yesterday. Anyone planning to head over?

   Planning to bring my boys over to look at the custom engines. Traffic getting into church parking lots on event days can be a mess if they do not manage the turn lanes off the main road properly. Park early or you will spend half your morning idling in a line just trying to pull onto the grounds.

   November is usually much more pleasant for outdoor events on the grounds once the humidity drops. I just hope they keep the vintage vehicles parked on the paved sections or hardpacked drives rather than heavy tires churning up turf on the lawn. It takes months for grass to recover from heavy foot traffic and heavy vehicles after autumn rains.

   I am planning to head over for a study break that weekend. The church grounds offer plenty of space for family outdoor activities, so it should be a nice setup for viewing the classic and custom cars. My neighbor went to a similar community gathering there in past seasons and mentioned it was easy to walk around with kids.

   Free community events on private church property usually draw a substantial crowd relative to available space. If 15 percent of the surrounding neighborhood decides to show up during the peak morning hours, space fills fast. Keep your schedule flexible and park standard distance away if you want a quick exit.
