Own an HVAC company out near Research Forest. Live in Alden Bridge for the lots. Kids are all in sports so I’m either at practice or under someone’s unit before the next 100-degree stretch. Village center is where we end up most weekends.

  Just glad our revenue is not getting pulled south to fix roads inside Houston while Woodlands Parkway traffic is backed up every single afternoon. Keeping our tax dollars local to support township infrastructure is what matters. Still spend half my evening trying to park at the village center, but at least the money stays in Montgomery County.

• Family car show at Grace Woodlands in November

  Planning to bring my boys over to look at the custom engines. Traffic getting into church parking lots on event days can be a mess if they do not manage the turn lanes off the main road properly. Park early or you will spend half your morning idling in a line just trying to pull onto the grounds.

• The Woodlands High School graduation parking and timing questions

  If you are hauling older relatives around, drop them off right at the front curb before you go waste half an hour hunting for a spot. You will spend twenty minutes minimum circling the lot if you show up right when doors open. I live in Alden Bridge and traffic on event days is always a headache no matter where they host it.

• Halloween SpookTacular at The Woodlands Children's Museum crowd questions

  Good luck with that parking lot if you show up at 10:30 in the morning. Everyone fights over the row of spots directly in front of the door. The two-day event setup is actually nice for toddlers since the bat cave is genuinely non-scary and storytime is low key. Just park further out by the grocery store side of the shopping center unless you feel like circling for twenty minutes.

• Corgi races at Kirby Ice House this weekend

  Parking over there on a weekend afternoon is a complete nightmare, plain and simple. If you do not get a spot in their main lot within twenty minutes of doors opening, you are going to be circling or walking from across the street. Fun venue for drinking a beer on the patio, but expect wall-to-wall people around the grass area once the corgi heats start.

• Visit The Woodlands holiday lineup released. What events are you hitting?

  Lighting of the Doves at Town Center is usually on our list but the traffic along Six Pines and Woodlands Parkway is brutal every time. I spend half my life stuck in gridlock for work as it is. We usually stick to the seasonal markets around the Waterway instead. My wife likes browsing the vendor booths while I sit on a bench and stay away from the garage crowds.

• Top Bat Removal Company in The Woodlands?

  Had them handle a colony in the gable vents on the north side of our house last fall. I only knew they were there because I was up on a ladder cleaning the gutters and spotted droppings crusted all over the brickwork. Mike came out, found five separate entry points I never would have caught, ran the exclusion through October after confirming there were no pups, then sealed everything and foamed the gaps. Still bat-free six months later and the attic actually stays cooler now that the vents are properly screened.

• Sit-down burger options around here?

  Fielding's is the move if you're already near Research Forest. I've stopped there plenty of times after jobs in the area and their setup is solid for sitting down and actually relaxing for a bit. Parking lot isn't a nightmare either which matters after sitting in that I-45 mess.

• Can anyone recommend a reliable HVAC company?

  I second Air Woodlands. They did our annual service in March and actually showed me the delta on the thermocouples before and after cleaning the evaporator. One warm room usually means a damper stuck or a flex line crushed in the attic, not a compressor replacement. Have them pull the filter first and check your static pressure before anyone talks about a new system.
