Software sales covering the Houston market. Live in Panther Creek so I can usually make dinner. Kids are at Northshore Park and the village center constantly. Like the Lake Woodlands views and being able to get to Town Center or I-45 without too much hassle.

  My kids love the weekend trick-or-treat gatherings. The local neighborhood events between Oct 29 and Nov 1 are always solid. Go early before the candy runs out.

  Get base prep depth in writing. Our soil holds water forever. A 200 square foot green needs solid crushed base rock under it or it will shift. Make sure the labor warranty covers settling. If the installer will not stand behind labor for at least two years keep looking.

  Parking is always a mess for Conroe ISD graduations. Get there early. Bring comfortable shoes for the walk from the overflow lots. Traffic backs up fast when thousands of families arrive at once.

  We took our kids there when they were small. Line for the magic show moves fast. Slime station gets busy early. Go right at opening or wait until afternoon. Parking lot fills up quickly.

  Saw Visit The Woodlands released the official holiday guide. Winter and holiday events around Town Center and the Waterway look solid for November and December. Seasonal markets and light displays are always good. What events are y'all planning on hitting with the kids this season?

• Eat This Fast & Fresh opening second location in Creekside

  I tried their original location a few times when I had meetings near the medical center. Their grilled chicken bowls are solid and you can customize toppings pretty easily. Service moves fast even when the line looks long. My wife likes their wraps but watch the add-ons because they can jack up the price quick if you go crazy with extras.

• Listing agent recommendations? Thinking of selling in spring

  We sold in Panther Creek two years ago and went with a smaller agent too after interviewing a couple of the big names. What made the difference for us was someone who could pull actual comps from our village and explain exactly why our house should be priced where it was. The agent we picked had us priced right and we closed in 28 days. My advice is interview at least two or three and ask them to walk you through their pricing strategy with real data from Indian Springs sales in the last six months.
