- Experiences with the NICU team at Memorial Hermann on College Park Drive
Our daughter spent eight days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Memorial Hermann when she was born. Walking into that room for the first time with all the monitors and specialized equipment is overwhelming, but the medical team on College Park Drive made every step manageable for us. The nurses were attentive, talked us through every single test result, and made sure we felt completely comfortable holding her even with the monitoring wires attached. Seeing those Halloween costume photos made me think back to the milestone cards the nursing staff made for our daughter's bassinet while we were there.

- Halloween weekend spots for family visiting tonight
My in-laws and extended family are driving into town tonight for Halloween weekend, and we are looking for recommendations on where to take everyone out to celebrate. We would love a place with a good evening atmosphere, whether that is around Market Street, Town Center, or another local spot hosting live music or a festive Halloween setup. With our infant at home, we are hoping to slip out for a few hours while family is here to help watch the baby. Are there any particular venues hosting events tonight that you would recommend for entertaining out-of-town guests?

- Has anyone taken stuff to the county hazardous waste drive-thru before?
I took a load of leftover garage items over to the household hazardous waste drive-thru recently. The process is very well organized. As mentioned, you remain in your vehicle while the staff collect the hazardous items. They take old paint and lawn chemicals as well as household batteries and automotive fluids.

- Anyone heading out to the College Park vs Grand Oaks game tonight?
It really is a massive game for district standings. Grand Oaks has shown a lot of grit this season, but College Park seems to execute extremely well in high-stakes district games. If College Park can establish their running game early, it could be the deciding factor for playoff seeding tonight.

- Where to get a good white pizza around Town Center
White pizza can be wonderful when executed properly. When I order dinner for client meetings or family evenings near Market Street and Town Center, I always request extra roasted garlic and ask if the kitchen can brush the crust perimeter with olive oil prior to baking. A good combination of fresh mozzarella, dollops of seasoned ricotta, and fresh herbs makes all the difference compared to a plain cheese pizza without sauce.

- Looking for a reliable house cleaning crew in The Woodlands
When preparing homes in Carlton Woods for client walkthroughs or taking on post-project detailing we always insist on a specific scope of work upfront. Larger teams of six to eight are great for speed but without clear written expectations tasks like baseboards and hardwood mopping get glossed over. I always recommend booking an initial deep clean first so you can evaluate how thoroughly they handle floors before locking into a recurring schedule.

- H-E-B Wine Walk at The Woodlands Resort this Thursday
The layout across the resort grounds spreads everyone out fairly well once you get past the main entrance area. They have wine tasting tables and craft beer selections set up along the outdoor paths so you are never stuck in one dense crowd for long. Arriving right when the evening event begins makes a big difference for line lengths.

- Does anyone go to the Junior League Holiday Market every year?
I usually head over on Friday as well because I like to look for specific gift items for client baskets and custom decor ideas. Friday definitely offers a much calmer stroll through the vendors, whereas Saturday tends to pull in much larger crowds throughout the entire day. The seasonal decorations throughout the venue are always done very nicely, and they have plenty of food setups available while you walk around. If you are aiming for a relaxed experience where you can talk to the vendors without feeling rushed, Friday is the way to go.

- Roofer recommendations after the last storm?
I had a minor roof issue about six months ago after a branch came down during one of those quick storms and Anderson did right by us. Guy came out, gave me an honest assessment, replaced a few shingles and flashing and said the rest looked solid for now. No drama, no pitch for a full roof when we didn't need it. Hope the Tuesday visit goes smoothly for you.

- Old Mexican restaurant at Sawdust and Budde Road
I'm blanking on the name too but I remember that building had the same roofline with the overhang when I started working with clients down here around 2001. One of my first contractors met me there for lunch to go over tile samples and the patio definitely had that covered section even back then. The margaritas were strong enough that I stuck to iced tea for afternoon meetings.

- Latin Night at Como Social Club Nov 1, free salsa lesson
The lesson is very beginner. They pair you up and rotate so nobody is stuck with their own clumsy partner the whole time.
