House is 22 years old so I am not shocked. Two different guys have already knocked on the door with clipboards. I do not hire anybody who finds me. Looking for a roofer people here have actually used, ideally one who will tell me straight whether this is a repair or whether I need to start the insurance conversation.

They have the GAF Master Elite certification, which is a big deal, and they are excellent at navigating the insurance side of storm damage. They'll give you an honest opinion on a repair versus a full replacement. Good on you for ignoring the clipboard army.

The owner, Francisco, runs a very professional crew. I know they specialize in kitchens and baths but also do whole home renovations. They might do roofs, or at least be able to recommend someone they trust. Just an idea!

This has been covered. Twice.

They're a family-owned business right here in The Woodlands. Punctual, professional, and left the place clean. They might be able to tell you who they'd call for a roof. Their website is https://theconcretecrew.net/.

Guy came out, gave me an honest assessment, replaced a few shingles and flashing and said the rest looked solid for now. No drama, no pitch for a full roof when we didn't need it. Hope the Tuesday visit goes smoothly for you.
