Roofer recommendations after the last storm?

   Went up the ladder on Saturday after that last round of wind and found a few shingles lifted on the back slope and one missing on the ridge. House is 22 years old so I am not shocked. Two different guys have already knocked on the door with clipboards. I do not hire anybody who finds me. Looking for a roofer people here have actually used, ideally one who will tell me straight whether this is a repair or whether I need to start the insurance conversation.

   Anderson Roofing & Restoration. They are out of Spring off Abbott Lakes but they work in The Woodlands all the time. I have sent three of my own customers to them and nobody has called me mad yet, which in my line of work is the highest praise there is. They are GAF Master Elite, which is a certification most roofers do not have. More importantly they will walk you through whether it is worth filing a claim or not. And good on you for ignoring the door knockers. Half of them are gone by Christmas.

   Seconding Anderson! We used them after hail two springs ago (honestly I was dreading the insurance part). Susan's team explained the whole claims process to me like three times without making me feel dumb, and we called them back a year later for a gutter issue. Nearly 250 reviews on Google and they are sitting at five stars, which you just do not see with roofers.

   There is a roofing thread from last spring. Search works. That said, Anderson. Used them. Fine.
