   For the runners. Memorial Hermann 10 for Texas, the 3.1 Armadillo Run and a kids fun run are all Saturday October 10 at 7:00 AM at Northshore Park, 2505 Lake Woodlands Drive. Ten mile course, a 5K and a kids run, organized through township parks and recreation.    Heads up for everyone not running. Lake Woodlands Drive on a race morning is its own event. If you have somewhere to be Saturday morning, go a different way or go early.

   Same weekend as Hogtoberfest starting at 11 on the 10th, so you can run in the morning and still get up the interstate for a bratwurst. Not a conflict, just a long day.

   Ten miles in October here is a negotiation with the humidity, not a race... respect to everyone doing it.

   Retired. Walking the paths since the paths were dirt.

   Northshore at 7 AM means a lot of people on the paths right when the deer are still moving through. Go slow at the tree line and do not assume they will yield. And whoever is bringing a dog to a race start, please do not.

   Do not feed the deer. Please.
