- Do you need tickets in advance for The Woodlands Men's Chorus Christmas concert?
Back in the day you could just show up to any building in Montgomery County and hear holiday vocal performances without worrying about buying tickets on a phone or reservation lists but now with thousands of folks moving in every year you better check the venue location and performance schedule early or y'all will be standing out in the parking lot while everyone else gets the good seats.

- Where are you taking people for brunch lately?
My dad would absolutely camp out at a bloody mary bar. Whiskey Cake might be the Saturday and Toasted Yolk Sunday. Thanks everybody.

Churro donuts might win over my mother in law, appreciate it. Do they take reservations or is it just show up?

- Battle of the Oaks game - Grand Oaks vs Oak Ridge
Back when I was a boy there wasnt any Grand Oaks high school out that way it was all timber and creek bottoms where we hunted feral hogs and Oak Ridge was the only game in town on the east side of the highway and now yall got traffic stacked up all along 242 every Friday night just to watch football.

Appreciate the ideas so far folks. Carl, how does ordering work at The Kitchen if you have a group of five or six? Do you just line up first and hope a table opens up?

- Where are you taking people for brunch lately?
Got family driving down in a couple weeks and my wife put me on breakfast duty. Where are you taking people for brunch lately around here? Looking for somewhere solid where we can actually sit down and eat good food.

- Is there any room in The Woodlands for a quiet independent cocktail spot or is everyone happy with chains
Folks move down here wanting to open up fancy lounge spots like back where they moved from and then they realize commercial rents around Hughes Landing and Town Center will eat you clean alive before you sell your first ten dollar drink and when a heavy rain hits and fills up the parking lot folks stay home anyway. Back before the Township was even a thought you had local spots all down 1488 and 242 where you could grab a drink without passing a design board inspection but nowadays if you ain't backed by a big corporate restaurant group y'all are fighting a tough battle against those lease rates.

- Kennel tech needed at Animal Hospital of The Woodlands
Kennel work is honest work. Early mornings and a lot of scrubbing but you are around dogs all day, worse gigs out there.

- Caterer for a graduation party, about 80 people
If you want to go a little higher end, my wife's company used Savory Events for a dinner and the food was out of this world. It's a full luxury service. Might be more than you need for a backyard party, but worth a look if you really want to make a statement.

- Top Bat Removal Company in The Woodlands?
Another one for Critter Team. They did my brother in law's place and handled the whole thing start to finish: inspection, the exclusion, the attic cleanup, then the repairs where the bats had been getting in. Their own guys, no subs showing up in an unmarked truck. He said the smell before they cleaned it was the worst part and that was gone within a day. https://thewoodlandswildliferemoval.com/

- Estate planning lawyer, finally doing the will
Good info from everyone, thanks. For those of you who have used these firms, was it a flat fee for the whole package or billed by the hour? I keep hearing both and I would rather know the number going in.

- Estate planning lawyer, finally doing the will
My wife has been after me for about fifteen years to do a proper will and a trust and all that. I finally lost the argument. I have land out in Magnolia and some in East Texas so it is not just a simple one page thing. Who have you all used for wills and trusts. Somebody who talks like a normal person, I do not want to be talked down to by a lawyer in a tie.

- Honest mechanic? Dealer wants $2,800 for brakes
Since it's a Tahoe, you might try Woodlands Car Care on Budde Rd. ASE certified, been around since the 90s, solid guys. They even work on RVs, so a Tahoe is nothing to them.

- Anybody have a handyman they actually trust?
I try to stick with the local guys, not the big franchise vans. I'd recommend Adams Handyman Service. He's been doing it for over 20 years. He was on time, did excellent work on some sticking doors at our house, and cleaned up everything after. A real professional. You have to find him on HomeAdvisor or Angi, I dont think he has a public phone number.
