History

Panther Creek is named for the creek that forms Lake Woodlands along its eastern edge. It was the second village to open and, like Grogan's Mill, it has the mature tree canopy and established feel of the original Woodlands.

Homes

Panther Creek sits in the lower to middle price range for The Woodlands, with a median sale price around $460,000. It is a popular choice for buyers who want an older, centrally located village without Grogan's Mill-level renovation needs.

Amenities

The village has Northshore and Southshore parks, two public swimming pools and three Conroe ISD schools. It is also home to two of The Woodlands' best-known public art pieces: the dragon sculpture, formally titled "Rise of the Midgard Serpent," and "The Dreamer." The Panther Creek Village Center includes the original Republic Grille, one of the community's most popular local restaurants.

What residents talk about

Lake access, the parks and trails along Panther Creek, and traffic on Woodlands Parkway and Grogan's Mill Road are frequent topics.
