- Oct 13, 2026, 7:38 PM#1My granddaughter is visiting next month and my son was asking me about local events to take her to while they are in town (I was walking along the Lake Woodlands path near Northshore this morning and ran into one of my old shift buddies who brought it up). I saw that registration just opened for the Township 28th Annual Daddy Daughter Dinner Dance. Has anyone here actually taken their daughter in past years? Just wondering how fast seating usually fills up or if we need to jump on the Township website tonight.
- Oct 13, 2026, 7:56 PM#2I took my youngest a couple years back (she is 12 now so those days are mostly behind us unfortunately). Jump on it today if you are thinking about going. Seating is limited because of the venue capacity, and it definitely fills up fast once people realize registration is active. It is a really nice evening with dining, dancing, and themed activities for the girls.

Also word of advice for the night of the event, get there early because parking near the building gets chaotic right before doors open.

Definitely jump on registration right away though, all the moms in my group talk about how fast spots go every spring.

The Township coordinates the dining, music, and themed crafts very well. As others have noted, because seating is limited for the annual gathering, advance registration is mandatory and spots usually sell out completely.

It looks like a really sweet tradition for the community. Since it is the 28th year they have been doing it, a lot of families make it a yearly routine, which is why those advance spots disappear so quickly.
