- Help, who do ya’ll recommend for squirrel removal services?
Avoid AAAC Wildlife Removal, they claim to be full service but it was almost like I was the one doing the full service. I constantly had to call them and a few times I was sent to voice mail and never got a call back the same day. Their patch work on my home didn’t blend in at all and I had to hire a handyman to paint it to make it look better. Seems like they are a large company and I don’t like services that make me feel like just another number in the system.

- Any casual pick-up soccer games for 11-year-old boys?
We spend a lot of time around Rob Fleming Park for weekend soccer, and honest opinion, most of what you see on the fields is organized practice rather than open pick-up. I know some of the boys in Sterling Ridge set up their own small scrimmages among classmates on open grass on Sunday afternoons, but it is rarely advertised publicly. If your neighbor is looking for something casual in Spring or Magnolia, it might take finding a few local parents to organize a recurring weekend meet-up.

- Anyone done the Learning Zoo animal encounters in December?
Thanks for the advice! Did your customer happen to mention if the December sessions tend to sell out fast or if parking was tricky at all?

- Anyone done the Learning Zoo animal encounters in December?
We are looking into local family options for December to keep the kids entertained during the break. I saw that The Learning Zoo is hosting animal encounter events for families throughout the month of December, where kids can view and interact with live animals. Has anyone taken their children to these encounters before? Just curious how the experience is for local families and how interactive it really is.

- Community events and activities around Town Center Oct 19-25
We are taking our kids to a couple of the family activities scheduled for the weekend as well. The events listed for October 19 to 25 look pretty manageable if you go earlier in the day. My kids are seven and ten, so finding something that keeps both of them entertained around the parks without being completely overwhelmed by crowds is always the goal.

- Anyone gone to the Water Lantern Festival with family?
My kids have been seeing photos of the Water Lantern Festival online and keep asking if we can go this year. I know it is a ticketed event where they give you a lantern kit to decorate and light before releasing it onto the water around sunset, plus they have food trucks and music. My kids are seven and ten, so I am trying to figure out if it is worth getting tickets for the whole family or if it gets overly packed. If you have taken your family in the past, how was your experience?

- Where are you taking people for brunch lately?
We usually do The Kitchen when friends come into town because everyone can order exactly what they want and the food quality is better than most sit-down places. The counter setup is actually easier with kids since they can grab their food faster and we're not waiting forever for someone to take orders. Only downside is finding a big table on Sunday mornings, so I'd get there right when they open.

- CPA for a small business (not a tax mill)
I second Rascon CPA. They handled my plumbing company setup when I went out on my own and have been good about quarterly check-ins to make sure I'm not missing anything on estimated taxes or deductions. They've also been helpful when I had questions about adding my truck to the business or whether I should buy equipment before year end. Usually hear back same day or next day.
