Saw that Chief Troye Dunlap over at Shenandoah PD officially announced his retirement. Does anyone know how long he has been leading the department or what the city's plan is for filling the role? I feel like I pass their cruisers every time I head over toward Tamina Road or Portofino.

Shenandoah PD does not play on that stretch of I-45. You go two miles over the limit past the hospital area and they are right there. Interested to see who city officials pick to take over leadership.

I am not sure of the exact date Chief Dunlap originally took the head role, but he has been directing police operations for the municipality for quite some time. Shenandoah handles its own municipal administration separate from the Township, so city officials will be overseeing the transition plans directly as they move forward with finding a successor.

2004 transplant. Still call it Randalls.

Thanks Andy. That makes sense about Shenandoah managing their own transition plans directly. I always forget their municipal setup is completely separate from ours.

Every time I drive home after a show at the Pavilion, there is always a Shenandoah unit watching traffic near the feeder road. Saw REO SPEEDWAGON a while back and saw three cars pulled over right near David Memorial. Hope whoever city officials appoint to take over police operations keeps those intersections clear after big events.
