My website was built in 2014 by my nephew and it shows. Phone number is in a picture so you can't tap it on a phone. I get jobs from referrals but I am losing people who look me up. Need somebody local who builds sites for small businesses and understands Google. I do not want to pay agency prices for a four page site.

Licensed & insured. Get three bids.

We used Arbi at Digital Marketing Netic and he was fantastic. He is great at explaining the marketing side of things to someone who is not a computer person, and really focuses on local search results. We went from almost no web traffic to getting calls just about every day. He is who I would call. His number is (713) 396-0874.

    Shop local, file on time.

For what it is worth, we went with Kineto Creative over on Six Pines. They have been in business here in The Woodlands for over ten years and have an A+ with the Better Business Bureau. Not a huge team, just a solid, established local company. They did a great job on our site.

    Measure twice, call once.

A buddy of mine with a small business used Ascendly Marketing and said they really delivered. He told me his leads pretty much doubled after they redesigned his site and got him ranking on Google. They are in Hughes Landing. https://ascendlymarketing.com/ Whoever you go with, Craig, make them get your Google Business Profile set up right. That is huge for contractors.

    Cheaper taxes, longer drive.

I second the recommendation for Kineto Creative. They really took the time to understand my little business and built me a site I could be proud of.

    Measure twice, call Hector once.

We also used Kineto Creative and had a great experience. A solid local company for sure. No complaints from me, they delivered what they promised.

Retired. My only deadline is tee time.

I went with a one-person operation for my side project a couple years back and honestly it worked out fine for a simple site. That said, sounds like you need someone who really gets the local SEO piece, not just a nice looking page. Digital Marketing Netic or Kineto seem like the safer bets if you want someone who knows contractor sites and can make your phone ring. Just make sure whoever you pick shows you examples of mobile sites they've done, since that's where most people will find you.

I know a couple of contractors who used Kineto Creative and they were happy with how it turned out. One guy does HVAC work and said his site actually shows up now when people search for repair services in The Woodlands. The mobile version works like it should, which is what you need since most people are calling from their phone when they have an emergency.
