   Looking for a morning run or walk before Thanksgiving dinner prep starts. Has anyone done the Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot hosted by Give Me A Break Texas. My kids and I want to get out for a morning fitness activity before the holiday cooking. Wondering how the morning course and crowd usually are.

   Getting a run in before eating turkey is a solid plan. Parking around any holiday event is usually a mess if you do not show up early. I have not done this specific route yet but supporting Give Me A Break Texas is a good deal for their local programs. Just make sure you get there early enough to find a spot.

   My wife and I were looking into this same event recently. It seems like a wonderful way for families to participate in a morning fitness activity together on Thanksgiving Day. Knowing that all proceeds and participation support Give Me A Break Texas and their ongoing community programs makes it very worthwhile. We are planning to register for the walk.

   We are actually planning to bring our little girl (she loves being outside early before all the holiday cooking chaos starts). It is great that it works as a family run or walk so everyone can go at their own pace. Supporting Give Me A Break Texas while getting out on Thanksgiving morning is a really nice community routine (and burns off some energy before dinner).

   My wife and I were just talking about doing a morning walk on Thanksgiving day before heading to dinner lol. It sounds like a super fun morning activity for families. We will probably register this weekend so we get outside early.

   I saw the announcement for the Give Me A Break Texas Turkey Trot. If I were signing up the main things I would check ahead of time are packet pickup details, exact start times for the run versus the walk, and parking setups near the course. It sounds like a positive event for supporting their programs while getting exercise in on Thanksgiving morning.
