- Nov 3, 2026, 6:37 AM#1I signed up my two oldest kids and myself for the Creekside Campout happening next weekend, but I have not gotten much information on what to do or where to meet once we get there. Is it pretty standard that we just show up with our kids and tent at 1 p.m. on Saturday and staff will be sitting there checking people in and guiding us to a spot? Parking around Rob Fleming can get chaotic on weekends, so I want to make sure I am not dragging camping gear across two parking lots because I pulled into the wrong entrance.

(My kids always beg to pitch a tent in our own backyard after seeing everyone out there.) They usually set up the main check-in station right by the open lawn and pavilion area at Rob Fleming Park. If you pull in around 1 p.m. on Saturday, staff members are standing right by the entryway to check you off the registration list, hand out the event schedule, and point you toward the section of the field where you can pitch your tent.

If you try to pull in right at 1 p.m., traffic backing up onto Creekside Forest Drive is usually a mess because everyone is trying to turn into the main lot at once with SUVs loaded down with gear. Aim to get into the turn lane a few minutes early if you can.

- Nov 3, 2026, 8:00 AM#5My wife and I walked the trails right past Rob Fleming during the last campout, and it looked super organized lol. They usually had a designated pull-through zone near the park entrance where staff let parents unload their tents, coolers, and chairs onto the grass first while one parent stayed with the gear and the other went to park the truck in the main lot. It saved people from hauling heavy stuff from the back rows.

You definitely want to utilize that temporary drop-off lane if they have it set up. Just make sure you get your registration confirmation email pulled up on your phone before you lose signal under the trees, because check-in moves a lot faster when staff can just look at your name on the sheet and hand you your wristbands or site assignments.
